We are very excited to be opening a new education center in a building that was designed by eminent park architect Robert Reamer (who designed the Old Faithful Inn and the Roosevelt Arch) and built in 1902. Adaptively reusing the buiding will ensure protection of the park's historic northern entrance and viewshed. The restored building will include an educational "Park Store" and fully staffed information center for park visitors. The new center is scheduled to open in May of 2009 and is sure to be a source of pride for local residents. I would be glad to share additional information (floor plans, etc.) about this project and/or arrange a tour of the building.
