The Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University, houses one of the world's largest and most significant collections of dinosaur fossils. Visit the Museum to learn about startling new discoveries in dinosaur research, experience pioneer life at the living history farm, explore the greater Yellowstone region's Native American heritage, and journey to the stars in the planetarium.

World-renown staff paleontologist, Jack Horner co-discovered the first fossilized dinosaur eggs in North America at Egg Mountain near Choteau, MT with his research partner, Bob Makela. This discovery led to the theory that dinosaurs were warm-blooded and more related to modern birds. The Museum is also the "anchor" facility for the Montana Dinosaur Trail, which features 15 facilities across central and eastern Montana with unique and educational dinosaur displays and public field programs. The museum's newest project seeks to create a Yellowstone Children's Museum providing interactive exhibits highlighting the resources and wonders of the Greater Yellowstone Region and Yellowstone National Park.
