El Western Cabins & Lodges

Back

Welcome to El Western Cabins!

The log cabins and lodges of El Western are a unique blend of authentic western charm and today’s comforts in a picture-perfect setting. El Western captures the spirit of old west hospitality and style and is a rare remaining glimpse of an original Montana resort. Our lush green lawns and towering spruce trees are a southwest Montana landmark. The cabins and grounds of El Western are carefully maintained, with the goal of retaining their original character.

Lodging Style and Amenities

Cabins and lodges at El Western come in many different sizes and are available for overnight or extended stay. The original cabins were built in 1948 with logs cut in the adjoining National Forest, hand-peeled on the property and individually constructed. Large picture windows take in spectacular views – especially at sunset. Relax on the front porches of these duplex cabins as the mountains turn alpenglow pink. Bear Creek flows behind the Creekside cabins providing a restful backdrop. Some cabins have a waterwheel view.

The Mountainside Cabins are spacious 2-bedroom accommodations and feature a fireplace, comfortable livingroom, front and back porches and tile bathrooms with separate tub and shower. The kitchens are roomy with full size appliances including a dishwasher. Our stand-alone Lodges also have fireplaces, full kitchens and plenty of living space - perfect for fishing buddies or families. Furnishings are original Ranch Oak and western inspired leather chairs with embroidered horseshoes, horses, boots, saddles, etc. Light fixtures utilize lanterns, wagon wheels and stirrups.

Conference facilities are available for group meetings or catered parties. A large open deck and picture windows with incredible mountain views provide the perfect backdrop for productive meetings or social gatherings. Ammenities include daily housekeeping, satellite TV and wireless access.
