Cave Falls

Back

While only 20 feet (6 meters) high, Cave Falls stretches the entire 250-foot (76-meter) width of the Falls River. Located near the Bechler Ranger Station, this backcountry waterfall is seasonally accessible via the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway and the 16-mile (26-kilometer) long Cave Falls Road, and by snowmobile in the winter.

Visitors can explore the trails and caves near Cave Falls and stay a night at the nearby Targhee National Forest campgrounds. The site is also a popular trailhead for the Bechler trail system.
