Beartooth Mountains

Dated at nearly four billion years, the Beartooth Mountains are some of the planet's oldest rock. Since the original sediments of the Beartooths were deposited, uplift, igneous intrusions, streams, and glaciers have formed plateaus and peaks of Precambrian gneiss dissected by deep troughs and hanging valleys.
